Amber Albrecht's Demarcations opens at Division Gallery tomorrow!

Ben Klein's curatorial vision continues to impress us so it's no surprise that we've been eagerly awaiting Amber Albrecht's Demarcations exhibition at Division Gallery (372 Ste Catherine Ouest, Suite 311). Opening tomorrow (from 3PM-6PM), Damarcations runs until April 4th.

Damarcations features new work by Montreal-based, visual artist Amber Albrecht. Known for her print work which is as austere as it is ornate, Albrecht's work shares similarities with the starkness of Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations all while having its own unique esthetic thanks to her penchant for earthy tones and folksy textures and graphic overlays. Christian Marclay @ DHC/ART

Christian Marclay's Replay exhibition at DHC/ART (451 rue St-Jean) in Montreal is outstanding. If you're familiar with Marclay's work or are a fan of sound and/or film installation work then you'll love Replay. Marclay's long been celebrated as a sensory agitator- unleashing artworks that are spectacularly grating. 'Crossfire' (2007) and 'Guitar Drag' (1999) are the exhibition's standouts.

You can learn more about Marclay by watching the mini-documentary below. Enjoy, Ben

Honda- Short Films Campaign

Honda recently launched an interesting web-based branded content campaign that utilizes an interesting approach- using short films to discuss subjects such as innovation obstacles and 'open' ideation with non-company thought leaders on the future of transportation. It's somewhat of a daring strategy for an Enterprise to entertain (admitting failure and utilizing 'open innovation' so publicly)- which makes it that much more refreshing. We're living in changing times and it is interesting to witness the way brands are harnessing the viral, multi-media aspect of the web as well as unconventional corporate messaging to prioritize an 'experience' for viewers/consumers rather than standard 'outreach' techniques. You can see the recent Honda campaign here. Enjoy, Ben Pobjoy
