Pyramids & The VSS

Hydra Head Records has been one of our favorite record labels for years. They consistently put out great records with great layouts and continually respect the past by re-issuing often overlooked records. Anyway, they've just released a new record by Denton, TX's Pyramids (pictured above- photographer unknown). Pyramid's new record is an ambient, aggressive mix that sounds like Swans meets Sigur Ros meets Mare meets Radiohead. And, even more exciting is Hydra Head's re-issue of The VSS' Nervous Circuits LP. This is a seminal mid '90's record. Hooray for good tunes, Ben Pobjoy
