All Hail Rick Froberg!

Is Rick Froberg genetically wired to rip at all things creative? An unbelievably talented illustrator (click here to see his work), Froberg has also played in such seminal bands as Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes. Anyway, he's now playing in Obits and they're great. If you like Hot Snakes, you'll like Obits which utilizes Froberg's signature twangy, surfy guitar style and urgent vocals. Rick Froberg

Besides having been a member of seminal bands like Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes, Rick Froberg is also an amazing illustrator. His work borrows heavily from imagery that was widespread in post-WW11 American comics. However, his illustrations are very much original and stylized- and, also quite humorous. To see more of Froberg's illustrations check out his website here. Enjoy, Ben Pobjoy
